Welcome Message
" Thirty years ago, women accountants made up less than 10% of the profession. Today, almost 60% of the profession is women. Women have and will continue to play an increasingly important role in the accounting profession. With the globalization of the profession, it is vital to identify the issues specific to women accountants in order to enable them to strike a balance between work and life.

With that in mind, AWAHK was set up to address matters of concern and particular interests to women accountants. AWAHK was inaugurated on January 18, 2006 with many dignitaries and guests including our Guests of Honour :
  • Ms. Guo Li, Deputy Director, Liaison Office of the Central Peoples' Government in the HKSAR
  • The Honourable Laura Cha, Member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong
  • Ms. Alice Lau J.P., Commissioner of Inland Revenue
  • Ms. Betty Yuen, Managing Director, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited "
